Sweden Driving Theory Test

Theory Test

a. Complete the application form for a learner’s permit along with the health and eyesight declaration

Obtain an eyesight certificate and include it with your application. You can undergo the eye test and obtain the certification at your local optician or most driving schools. Affirm the health declaration in the application form, confirming that you do not suffer from any illnesses that might affect your driving ability.

Commencing Driving Practice

You can begin your practice sessions once you have obtained your learner’s permit. You have two options: you can either pay for lessons at a driving school or practice free of charge with a trusted friend, parent, or partner, who will serve as your supervisor, often referred to as a Each option has its advantages and disadvantages.

While practising can be more cost-effective, there is a potential risk of inheriting their driving habits.

About the theory test:

The theory test determines whether you will be allowed to take the practical driving test; you must first pass the theory test and demonstrate your commitment to safety and the environment.

To take the theory test, you must live in Sweden permanently or study there for at least six months. You must also complete both parts of the risk course, and these certificates should still be okay.

The cost of a theory test is 325 kr on weekdays before 18:00 and increases to 425 kr on weekends and after 18:00. The fee for a practical test is 400 kr.

Procedure of Theory Test

You must correctly answer 52 out of 70 questions to pass the B license theory test. The test is available in Swedish; you can listen to the questions. You will have 50 minutes to complete the test.

Schedule Theory Test

Scheduling of knowledge exams and practical tests can be done in two ways. Have your driving school book them, or do it yourself online.

The theory test in Sweden is like a quiz people take to show they understand the road rules and how to drive safely. It’s done on a computer and has about 65 to 70 questions. It would be best if you got around 52 suitable to pass. The questions cover traffic rules, road signs, and how to be a safe driver.

You have a limited time to finish the test, usually 50 minutes to an hour. You can take it in either Swedish or English, whichever language you’re more comfortable with.

Before the test, studying official materials and practising with sample questions is a good idea. You can schedule the test at a particular centre, and on the test day, you’ll need to bring an ID, like a passport. This test helps ensure people are ready to drive safely on the roads in Sweden.

Receive Test Results: Once you complete the theory test, you’ll immediately receive your test results. If you pass the driving test, you’ll be one step closer to obtaining your license. I have reviewed the text and found no grammar, spelling, or punctuation errors.

Prepare for the Practical Test: If you pass the theory test, you can focus on preparing for the practical driving test, which is the next step in obtaining your driving license.

The test checks what you know about five things:

Vehicles and how to drive them (7 questions)

How to protect the environment (5 questions),

Staying safe in traffic (16 questions),

Following traffic rules (32 questions),

Your situation (5 questions)

People tend to get the most questions wrong regarding traffic rules. These are things like understanding road signs, knowing what to do at different intersections, and how to drive on different roads.

Topics Covered in Different Areas:

Vehicle Knowledge and Handling

Questions about what can go wrong if a car doesn’t work right.

How driving techniques affect how a car behaves.

Environment

Questions related to being eco-friendly while driving.

Traffic Safety and Rules

Questions about road signs, speed limits, passing other cars, and more.

Validity and Results:

A passed theory test remains valid for four months.

Practical driving tests must be passed within these four months; otherwise, both tests must be retaken.

Pass/Fail:

Your test result is shown on the screen right after the test.

Your progress is also sent to your email.

If you don’t pass, you must schedule and retake the test.

It’s a good idea to study more before trying again.

Important Note:

If you’ve already scheduled a practical driving test, remember to cancel or change it at least 24 hours before the test to avoid extra fees.
