Bus drivers aged 60 to 68 must pass yearly physical and mental tests.
If you’re over 68 with a D licence
Bus operation is banned beyond 68 years under Swedish law.

Heavy articulated trucks require medical clearance for drivers 65+.
To upgrade from C1 to C or D1 to D
Upgrades between licence categories require proof of driving history and health.

Driving buses for hire needs Category D plus Code 95 CPC.
When transporting goods for pay
Goods transport operators must be CPC-certified with a C or CE licence.
When your driving test is passed
New licence holders must maintain a clean record for 2 years.
If your licence has Code 103
Code 103 means the licence is restricted to non-commercial driving.
